In the first half it was the defensive side of the game that was on top as both teams defended well. SLK Knights had a chance to break the deadlock after the first 3 minutes but West Wickham Sky’s goalkeeper and defence stood firm. Then West Wickham had a chance after effectively using the counter attack to break through midfield. However, an expertly timed sliding tackle stopped the striker as he was about to shoot. The half ended 0-0 as both teams missed further chances and defenders were in charge.

The second half was more open as both teams went for the win but it was the SLK Knights who scored first. Although West Wickham Sky made changes, it was the SLK Knights who dominated with flowing attacks down the left and through midfield. One such attack lead to a penalty, which following a retake was dispatched with style to make it 2-0 and that was the score at the final whistle.
