Safeguarding Policy

SL Kings Academy & Football Club is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and adults at risk. It is expected by the club that all its staff, players, volunteers and visitors share our commitment on a whole.

SL Kings Academy & Football Club believe that its staff, players, volunteers and visitors have a statutory responsibility to report any concerns about a child or an adult at risk,

SL Kings Academy & Football Club is committed to ensuring that:

1. The safety and welfare of children and adults at risk under the care of the club care is of paramount importance.

2. All children / adults at risk that are involved with SL Kings Academy & Football Club, regardless of age, gender, language, culture, social background, disability, racial origin, religious beliefs and/or sexual identity have the right to safety and protection from abuse or harm in any way, shape or form.

3. All suspicions, reports and/or allegations of abuse will be treated seriously and be thoroughly investigated, which may involve, contacting the school and also the appropriate local authority where required.

Additionally, SL Kings Academy & Football Club would also strongly encourage anyone with an allegation of, or information regarding, historic child abuse to report it to the NSPCC / FA Helpline on 0800 023 2642 and to the police, where specially trained staff will be able to provide advice and guidance.
